Today started out as a lazy day. I was seriously considering canceling our plans to head to the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens and save it for next week, but my little sister came home from her last day of school feeling pretty down about saying goodbye to all of her friends, so I said LET'S GO! I packed up some juice boxes and PB&Js and we were off! I was a little concerned that we would get lost trying to figure out the subway (I stick to the PATH as much as I can), but we found everything just fine and looked like old pros!
Hannah is obseessssssed with flowers, so what better place to take her? To our great surprise, they even had FISH (her love of flowers in only exceeded by her love of fish)! I thought I would have my same jaded attitude that I have toward most things, but I was overwhelmed by how
beautiful it was there. I haven't been there in ages, so I had forgotten. We wandered around for 5 hours and never got bored. There was plenty of flora and fauna to be seen. We even caught a couple shots of some turtles, a bunny, and some baby ducks following their mommy! We left some stuff unseen, so we can go back next week! Yay!
It was a muggy day, and
very warm, so Hannah rocked her white tank and shorts from Baby Gap to stay cool. Everyone at the BBG thought she was adorable (except the lady that yelled at her for touching the flowers... bitch). Well, ENJOY!
